Finance Agreements in Germany and the European/German fund regulation«: For a long time, the financing of startups was focused exclusively on equity or quasi-equity financing instruments (Venture Capital). Recently, however, a new financial innovation in the form of Venture Debt has established itself as an attractive new source of financing on the European private capital market. Little is known about it so far. This thesis examines the new financing instrument on all relevant levels.
