Deutschland ist für mich ein Flusspferd/ Germany reminds me of a hippopotamus

What do Namibian think about our country and our society We know little about this as often the Namibian viewpoint is only heard within the con-text of the common colonial past in connection with tourism. Our perspective has been one-sided, from north to south. But now, ten Namibians let us look through their eyes at the country that has become their second home. In their lively and thoughtful reports, we get to know a view of Germany that is at times surprising and yet that serves as a long overdue contribution to fostering a greater mutual understanding between our two countries.
