This volume of the journal contains five papers and seven reviews. The contributions deal with more Greek professional titles, mainly of the Byzantine Period [Diethart, part IV], the 'Eyes of the Legions', Iuppiter Optimus Maximus Hammon noster, the role of the Roman army in securing long-distance trade routes, and recent evidence for the god of legio III Cyrenaica from Hegra, north-west Saudi Arabia [Stoll], purpose and benefit of the Historical School of National Economy for the analysis of Roman economic history [Krocker], types of silk and their trade between China and India [Wang], and some professional titles and job titles in papyri, ostraca, and inscriptions - part 1: A-L [Reinard]. The book reviews relate to publications on infrastructure and distribution in ancient economic systems, Roman coinage, administration and law in ancient Egypt, Assyria, Athens, and Rome in comparison, ancient information on Persia based on Xenophon's Cyropaedia, the end of the Second Triumvirate and Octavian's official titles from 43-27 B.C., coins and monuments for Severus Alexander, and the morphology of the Anonymus de rebus bellicis.
