Finite element method has been introduced to orthodontics as a powerful research tool for solving various structural and mechanical problems. It is recognized as a procedure for mechanical approximation of all the physical problems that can be modeled by deferential equation. FEM has been applied to the field of dentistry to evaluate the physical form changes in the biological structures, which are difficult to assess clinically.This book covers the various applications of the finite element analysis in the branch of orthodontics and dentofacial orthopaedics.
